The Scotch Plains - Fanwood Newcomers' Club is a non-profit social organization offering daytime and evening activities for women and their children. The Club welcomes new residents as well as those who have been through a recent lifestyle change such as a marriage, a new baby, or change of employment. The Newcomers' Club now has approximately 100 active members.
During the
year, current members plan and organize activities for 20 interest groups.
Some of the activities include the following: book discussions, bowling,
bunko, caregivers, cooking, couples social, ladies night out, playgroups,
scrapbooking, toddler adventures and weekend gathering.
Each month a newsletter listing all activities is sent by e-mail or regular mail (your preference) so that you can plan which activities to attend. We welcome your participation at all of our activities; however, be sure to check the newsletter or call the chairman of the group prior to arriving. In many cases, it may be necessary to RSVP due to size limits of some functions.
To join the Newcomers' Club, we ask that you fill out the membership form and send it along with a $30 (or $15 after February) membership fee to the address listed on the form. If you would like more information about the club, please contact Alyssa Amsellum by e-mail.
